Growing with direction: Heutink is building a strategic HR organization

Heutink has always been a family business that has everything it needs to relieve everyone involved in education, care and the development of children and young adults in the areas of learning resources, equipment and ICT. The company is growing rapidly and, partly as a result of a recent acquisition (by an international peer), a new company-wide strategy has been introduced. Kyden's role is to support and redevelop the HR department, which is undergoing a major transformation: not only does HR have to absorb the rapid organizational growth, but HR is also a key player in the introduction of the new strategy, the introduction/sourcing of a new job house and the further professionalization of work processes.

Due to the rapid growth and changing ambitions, it becomes clear that the existing HR structure is no longer adequate. HR plays a crucial role in the implementation of the new strategy, but the division of roles, processes and cooperation require more clarity. Heutink is looking for direction: how do you organize HR in such a way that it grows with the organization, optimally supports the business and fits the people-oriented culture of the family business?

Result

Kyden brings structure by determining together with Heutink the optimal HR target operating model. We start by creating a people vision: what kind of employer do you want to be and how do you make sure that employees like to come and stay? We examine which HR products and services are offered now and in the future, who the main customers of HR are and how HR can contribute to the organization-wide ambitions. From the lens people, we worked on ownership, cooperation and clear roles within the HR team and the entire company. This leads to more cohesion, better service and an HR organization that contributes to Heutink's strategic goals with confidence and direction.
