Professional training for lawyers
Lawyers must continue to develop throughout their careers, and that begins at the start: every lawyer takes the Professional Training Program for Lawyers (BA) of the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA).
Implementation organization for Professional Bar Training
At Kyden, we are proud of our role as the implementing organization for the Professional Legal Education (BA) program of the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA). Together with Radboud University's Center for Postgraduate Education (CPO), we have been responsible for the development, organization and implementation of this crucial training program since 2013.
Relevance and quality
The NOvA aims to provide a relevant and high-quality education that is seamlessly linked to practice and the latest developments in the legal profession. The curriculum of the Professional Legal Education Program integrates ethics, skills and legal content, and ensures personal attention tailored to individual learning needs with modern teaching techniques.
The Professional Legal Education program consists of a central and decentralized part. All lawyers follow the central part at the implementing organization, while lawyers from a select number of offices follow the decentralized part at another accredited provider. This means that at the beginning of their careers, all lawyers in the Netherlands attend training days and courses developed by the CPO and Kyden.
Our involvement in the BA is not limited to the classroom. Whether we are developing the classes, standing in front of the classroom or working behind the scenes, we strive every day for quality and a well-organized BA. That way, we are not only at the beginning of your law career, but we stay involved every step of the way thereafter.
