Impact ecosystem for societal impact

Kyden has developed a unique approach to address 'wicked problems' and social issues with public-private ecosystems
In four phases, we guide involved parties to a future-proof partnership with maximum environmental and social impact.
We can help in several ways:
  • 'Impact Ecosystems' training.
  • Improving an existing ecosystem; phases 3 and 4
  • Designing and setting up a new ecosystem; phases 1 and 3
  • Support for phase 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Exploring a public-private ecosystem

Social problems have great impact on society. There are no ready-made solutions, but working together can be the key to success. One particular form of collaboration is a public-private ecosystem: a long-term collaboration in which partners contribute to an organization-transcending interest.

Goal

Before getting started with a public-private ecosystem, it is advisable to explore whether it is the right form for your issue:

  1. What are the common goals of the partnership;
  2. Insight into the feasibility and principles of the ecosystem;
  3. Decision on follow-up.

What do we explore during the exploration:

  • Objectives, scope and assumptions.
  • Ecosystem feasibility with stakeholders, scenarios and financing.
  • Internal: vision, starting points, interests, contributions, ambitions and preconditions.
  • External: mapping the stakeholder field with a Stakeholder Scan.
  • Advice: Based on the explorations we provide advice and analysis of the feasibility, starting points and necessary assets for the success of the ecosystem. Our advice also includes an outline of an Impact
  • Definition using the completion of the first elements of the Theory of Change.

Building a public-private ecosystem

An ecosystem is characterized by a diversity of partners and transcends sector chains - and sometimes even national borders.

Goal

A public-private ecosystem provides:
  • Innovation
  • Learning capacity
  • Better decision-making
  • Clout
  • Funding
  • New business models
  • Positive impact

Methodology

Kyden helps to connect public and private parties around a social goal or issue. We translate the different worlds and interests into higher goals and accelerate the process by working together in concrete pilot projects. An iterative process with an outside-in approach to get to work with each other in a very concrete way.

Improving and securing a public-private ecosystem.

We help improve existing ecosystems to harness the full potential of the diversity of network partners.

Goal

A public-private ecosystem provides:

  • Stimulate innovation;
  • Increase value-added collaboration;
  • Drive learning and improved decision-making and clout;
  • Tapping into additional funding/earning models;
  • Increasing the positive impact of the partnership;
  • Increasing job satisfaction of parties participating in the partnership.

Working method

Analysis

Which partners are involved and how is the strategic, cultural, tactical and operational "fit"? And do partners have the same view of the objectives? We inspect existing agreements and conduct interviews to compare the current situation and spot improvement potential.

Review

We determine with the partners the new blueprint for cooperation. Possibly this means exit of existing partners and entry of new partners.

Improve

Getting started! We choose a concrete activity to test and refine the recalibrated collaboration.
