Solution

By going back to the drawing board, an orderly, small HFM function was designed that is mission- and expertise-driven. By having HR and Facility Management function as one department, the employee experience is secured in its entirety. This was achieved by taking 'the healthiest employer in the Netherlands' as the starting point in such areas as teaming, leadership, culture and a different way of organizing: both in terms of specialties and the way of working. This caused about 80% of the people in the People & Experience department to reapply.
